Jenny Polimeni and Leigh Butt will be donning their spats and fringing to entertain audiences when they take part in Harden Can Assist's 'Dancing with the Locals' in August.

"Can Assist is such a great cause. I love the fact that the money they raise stays in our community and supports families in Jugiong as well." Mrs Polimeni said.
"Leigh and I are both from Jugiong and are getting along very well, we have learned our routine to the end, we just have to polish it now."

Mr Butt agreed and said that being asked to be involved was an honour.
"Jenny is right, Can Assist has supported Jugiong and Harden Murrumburrah families doing it tough with a cancer diagnosis and treatment, so I am happy to be involved." Mr Butt said.
"I have done a bit of performing in the past, but as a singer. This is a bigger challenge."
The seven couples who are taking part in 'Dancing with the Locals' are judged not only on their dance moves, but by the amount of money they raise for Can Assist. Get behind your favourite couple by dropping some money into their donation boxes:

Dancing with the Locals will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17. Tickets will be available from Cooper's Choice Cut Butchery from July 1.
Other fundraising news:
June Howe and Terry Ricketts will be holding a mufti bowls day at the Harden Bowling Club this coming Saturday, June 22, commencing at 1pm, cost $20, which includes a light supper after. There is music and an auction in the evening, so get to the Bowlo for a fun day and night.
Keep your eye out for an interesting Car Wash event not to be missed; which is being held at the Harden Red Devils game on Saturday, June in aid of Richard Fleming and Maryanne Fitzgerald's fundraising.
