Most weekends, you will find Jack O'Connor and Georgia Murray on the football field, but they have gladly swapped their footy boots for dance pumps to take part in the Can Assist 'Dancing with the Locals.'

"The only time you will see me dancing is at the pub after about 11pm." Mr O'Connor joked. "But when my grandmother rang me and asked me to take part in the 'Dancing with the Locals' fundraiser, I couldn't say no."
Mr O'Connor said that both he and Ms Murray's families have had a history with cancer and that was why they both felt it is important to support Can Assist.
The couple are now having lessons and will perform a Tango at the event, which will be judged not only on their dance style and execution, but on the amount of money they raise for Can Assist.
You can donate to the Jack O'Connor and Georgia Murray team by placing money in their Can Assist collection boxes, which are placed at the Wombat Hotel and Bunyip Pre-school.
From the Committee: Please be advised after much deliberation that the 'Dancing with the Locals' event will continue to go ahead on the weekend of August 16 and 17.
We are aware that this clashes with the Annual Greg Whitehead Fishing Event. Both events have great benefits for their chosen charities.
We ask for everyone's support in accepting this decision as it was never intended to work against one another or to disrespect either of the causes. Both events are very dear to our hearts and we ask all the community to support these events as best they can.
