The Auditorium was decorated in 'rustic' theme and it certainly was a very warm and beautiful welcoming for all the guests upon their arrival.
Our local young ladies have been preparing and looking forward to this event for the past ten weeks and thanks must go to Tegan Drew whose tutelage was fine tuned to the minute as the debs and their partners executed two dances.
Our official guests for the evening were from the Harden Country Club, Cameron Fairfield-Smith and his wife Vicki and; Lisa Dean from the Bendigo Bank, with her partner Ben.
A nice touch again this year saw the debs greeted by their mums halfway down their entry to the hall for an exchange of flowers and some last minute words of love and encouragement.
Our girls looked beautiful in their traditional debutante frocks and their hair and make-up putting the finishing touches on their very elegant presentation.
Their partners were very dapper in their dark three piece suits which were completed by a pocket handkerchief in honour of 'Kiera and Lexie', their dear friends who couldn't be with them on the night.
The debutatntes and their partners were; Abbey Wade Joie Whybrow, Maddie Emms Xavier Vasquez, Maria Raptis Brad Honner, Olivia Doolan Max Spackman, Deanna Minogue James Daley and Gypsie Potts Lachie Deep.
Master of Ceremony for the evening, Maryanne Fitzgerald, gave a brief history about each debutante upon presentation and the crowd certainly got behind their loved ones with loud applause.
Hawks President Jason Pollard welcomed everyone and entertained the crowd with a well prepared speech, this included many thank you's but special mentioned was highlighted to the organising team of; Jodie, Julie and Tegan, who steered the process over the 10 week duration.
Other special thanks were extended to all other helpers who worked tirelessly to make the event a success.
Debs Abbey Wade and Deanne Minogue gave a special thank you speech on behalf of the debs and then made some gift presentations.
Nearing the end of the formal part of the evening the debs cut a celebration cake made and decorated by Erica Glover and then the dancefloor was declared open with the debs and their partners inviting a special loved one up to enjoy the first dance.
