At just 21, Cynthia Bezemer has crammed more adventure into her life than most people achieve in a lifetime. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Australia is about as far away from home as anyone could be. And she is loving it.

"I was working as a flight attendant at home, so I have travelled all over Europe." Ms Bezemer said.
"One day, I just decided that I wanted to go on an adventure by myself, and a month later I was boarding a plane to Australia."
Ms Bezemer said that she didn't tell her family of her adventure plans until everything was booked.
"I had spoken to Argyle Food Pastoral in Galong by telephone, as someone I knew had worked for them, and had organised my job." Ms Bezemer said.
"I only told my family after my travel arrangements were made. They were like 'Oh no! That's so far away!', but they came around and understand that this is just something I need to do."
When she is not at work, Ms Bezemer spends her time travelling around sightseeing in a car she purchased and spends a lot of her weekends in Goulburn, where she is having flying lessons.
"I want to get my private pilot's licence as soon as possible, so I can see more of Australia." Ms Bezemer said.
"Australia is so different to the Netherlands, it is so big and has so much to offer. In the Netherlands it is always raining and there are no wild animals. The first time I saw a snake, I had to call my boss, Guy (Turner) because I didn't know what to do!"
Ms Bezemer said that she has made a lot of friends in Australia, but considers Guy Turner her best friend.
"Guy is my Australian dad. He helps me with everything and his whole family have made me feel a part of their family. I have promised him first ride when I get my pilot's licence." Ms Bezemer said.
"I love Australia so much, especially being here in the Hilltops. Everyone is so friendly, and the country is so beautiful. I will be very sad when I have to leave and go back to the Netherlands in another 18 months."
"But who knows, maybe I will find a way to stay forever."
