Hawkettes
The Hawkettes also played the North Canberra Bears and got off to a slow start, defending their own tryline for the first ten minutes of the game.
Their great defence kept the Bears at bay and they were beginning to win the battle by scoring a couple of great tries, including one from a set play, where Georgia Smith scored a great try to put them in the lead with a score of 16 to 0 at the break.
The second half saw much of the same, with the Hawkettes throwing the ball around and scoring a couple of tries from kicks and their willingness to chase.
The Hawkettes ran out winners with a score of 34 to 0, meaning the team have not let a point get by in three matches this season.
Try scorers were Georgia Smith 3, Maddie Douglas 2 and Emma James 1 try and 5 goals.
Players of the match were Maddie Douglas, Georgia Smith and Grace Smith, who was outstanding in defence. Olivia Doolan was awarded 'Player's player.'
