Our most interesting event of the year, and one rarely played at other clubs, was brought to us by Ben Glover and Graham Williams. Whilst our sponsors were absent, their ears would have been burning, with the struggle for combinations tempered by early winter winds and a course with lots of run, all combining for low scoring.

Best of the Worst ended up Darrell Cassidy and Robert Bates with a modest 28 points. When we remember that 36 points in a 4BBB is par for the course, this demonstrates the struggles held by all.
Balls went back to 25 (11 behind a par round) and went to father-and-son John and Nathan Hawkins (26), Peter Elliott & Tam Kennedy (25), and Herby Manwaring & Eric Kuhn (25). NTP went to Ron Page at 2.74m.
THE ladies fronted for a much more pleasant stroke event on Saturday and in a diminished field, our winner Marj Manwaring managed to jump way ahead of the pack and also par for the course with her nett result, bringing home a 72 nett, 2 under the par of 74.
