Multi Class swimming provides meaningful competition for swimmers with a disability. Swimmers are assessed through physical and technical testing in competition observation. Muscle strength, movement coordination, joint range of movement and limb/trunk length contribute to the allocation of classes.
Although the girls didn't place in their events, which covered backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke, Kayla took 10.2 seconds and Jade 17.86 seconds off their personal best times over the three events and most importantly they had fun!
"It was well worth the trip." Mum Leanne Schulz said.
"Both girls loved the two day event, and they both came away talking about plans for next year."
