"We will start laying the main cables on Tuesday." Robert Scott of Robert Scott Electrical said. "The only hold up now is the transformer, and the main switch board, which is under construction."
The water and electrical upgrade to the Showground will allow it to be used for a much broader range of activities than it has been in the past.
"Each power head is individually operated and will be switched off for safety purposes when not in use." Mr Scott said. "Our next job is to install LED flood lighting to complete the upgrade."
The water system to the site has been upgraded to the stage that it has quadrupled the water supply to the Showground.
"The Showground will have the capabilities to host much bigger events." Mr Scott said. "It will be water-only ready for the Truck and Tractor Show, which is being held here this weekend."
