JUGIONG
Organisers are excited at the strong response to this year’s Jugiong Writers’ Festival. There have already been “Make Reading & Writing Fun” school sessions, with two adult writing workshops on Friday, March 22. Some of Australia’s best known authors, including Jackie French, will be appearing at the festival on the Saturday.

YOUNG
The annual Lambing Flat Chinese Festival will be held on March 30. There will be Chinese Lion dancers, a children’s sunset lantern parade, Chinese music, Asian food stall, a big art, sculpture and wood exhibition and Samba dancing.
HARMONY DAY
“Arts and Cuisine” Harmony Day celebration will be held at Burrangong Gallery in Young this Saturday from noon. Taste ethnic cuisine, enjoy live performances and take part in the opening of the latest exhibition at the gallery.
TRUCK & TRACTOR
The 6th Annual Truck & Tractor Show is at the Murrumburrah Harden Showground this Sunday.
The event is presented by the Harden Historic Truck and Tractor Club, with gates opening 9am. Entry is by donation; stalls and barbecues on site.
CHINESE FESTIVAL
Hilltops Library at Young will embrace Lambing Flat Chinese Festival themes this year, with a pioneers performance on Friday, March 29 by local bush poet Ted Webber, and an author reading for children on festival day.
Author Helen Buck will present a reading of her latest work The Dragon in the Park, a children’s picture book suitable for children up to primary school age, at 11am on Saturday, March 30.
