Wombat Public offers:

- Strong P&C committee that supports and values the growth of the school and its education

- Kitchen Garden program. A garden overhaul is planned thanks to a grant funded by the NSW Government through its environmental trust. At present there are weekly gardening and cooking sessions in a three-bay kitchen, and the program has chooks, worm farms, herb and vegetable garden.
- External sports program brought to students by Gecko Sport.
- Music tutor from Young Regional School of Music, Mark Corkery. The marimba ensemble looks forward to playing in the Cherry Jam later this year.
- Numerous parent and community volunteers who help with reading support, classroom aid, and the kitchen and garden program.
