The barbecue will be cooking from 8am and the breakfast will be followed by the official Australia Day ceremony, including the presentation of awards.
There will be plenty of entertainment by local signers and performers.
Harden-Murrumburrah’s Australia Day ambassador this year is Ed Fernon, an Olympian, adventurer and entrepreneur.
Mr Fernon, a modern pentathlete who competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, will be addressing the Australia Day crowds in Newson Park.
Anyone attending the celebrations is encouraged to bring their own chair.
With the temperature on Saturday expected to peak in the 40s, it’s also going to be a day to break out the sunscreens and hats and ‘slip, slop, slap’.
