I will continue to be available in Boorowa and Harden on the first Tuesday of each month and I welcome anyone who wants to have a one-on-one chat about anything council-related to call in and see me. You can find me in Harden from 8.30am to 10.30am and Boorowa from 11.30am to 1.30pm in the Council Chambers.
This year we will continue to connect with our villages via monthly village workshops with the first one for this year being on Wednesday, February 13 from 6pm at Monteagle Hall.
2019 it is set to be an exciting year with a number of projects to be delivered. One such project involves the bridges in the area and on this front, we received some exciting news on Wednesday with the State Government approving funding of $1.3 million toward the replacement of Wambanumba Bridge.
We have submitted funding applications for Spring Creek Bridge, Cudgell Creek Bridge and Hannons Bridge.
Council are working to repair damage caused by last week’s storm and will continue to explore funding options to obtain the best outcome for the community.
A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes in relation to our number one priority infrastructure project - the Boorowa water security project. Currently Council are preparing an options analysis and business case for a pipeline route for Boorowa and lobbying for State endorsement of the pipeline so that half construction funding is from the Federal Government.
