Store manager Glenn Woodward said that he is happy to help Annabelle by having the tins on the check out counters.
“It is just one way of giving back to the community.” Mr Woodward said.
“People often say that they don’t want their small change and having the tins on the counter lets them donate it to a good cause.”
Annabelle’s Aunty Annalise collected the tins over the weekend and counted the money; a huge total of $496.90, which she then delivered to her brother Adam, Annabelle’s Dad.
“I can’t thank the people of Harden enough for everything they have done for our family since Annabelle was diagnosed in 2016.” Mr Potts said.
“It means so much that everyone is supporting us, either by donating, or by doing ‘Lemon Face’ challenges to raise awareness for DIPG.” Mr Potts said.
The tins will be returned to IGA this week, this time the money will be donated to the Isabella and Marcus Foundation, which is raising money for DIPG research.
