The first game was between the Hornets and Binalong, and the second game was between Murrumbateman and Bookham.
Harden’s captain Kai Steele lost the toss and was sent into bat first.
A new-look opening partnership of Paul Potts and Shane Abnett did not get the team off to the required flying start with Abnett caught by Mick Patterson off Victor Coble for two.
Potts mis-read the guidelines for a 20 over game and thinking it was a five-day test match was finally bowled by Patterson for a 21-ball, “quack”.
Kai Steele joined Jeff Brown and runs started to flow.
The situation had got so dire for the Hornets that umpire Kelvin Brown had given Potts out the previous ball to get another batsmen in but Binalong recalled him as they though his innings was gold to them.
Steele joined Jeff Brown and runs started to flow.
There was plenty of threes run on a slow outfield which resulted in plenty of wheezing between overs.
Brown was caught for 15 off Oscar Knight, and was then followed by Ben Brady (2) also caught.
Young Beau Abnett was next in having made a golden duck last week and alas “quack”.
Mitch Brown was also on a golden duck from last week but “quack” again.
Due a shortage of numbers, a French backpacking boy by the name of Alowishuss Delicious-Sachs was roped into play.
Alowishuss was displaying a repaired knee injury from the Napoleon war and together with Steele formed a hobbling good partnership.
Steele was finally out for 45 off 39 balls.
After 20 overs the Hornets reached eight wickets for 88.
Binalong opened up with AJ Skyes and Nic Arkiswamy.
Hornets bowling was tight but the breakthrough was difficult to achieve.
It was not until big Ben Brady, with the agility of a pensioner on a walking frame, took a diving catch that Hornets got the first break through.
This triggered a mini batting collapse as Beau Abnett then pulled off a one handed screamer and Paul Potts bowled Jack Glover.
AJ Skyes then saw Binalong home and remained not out 70.
Stand-out bowlers were Mitch Brown with two wickets for 19, and Jack Nicholls with only 13 runs off his four overs.

IN THE second game Murrumbateman had a comfortable win over Bookham reaching the required total of 87 in the sixteenth over.
