We thank Fuller and his crew for their continued support of Harden Golf and also for affording a first and second prize trophy for the day.
In turn, Fuller thanked everybody for turning up, so he could score a round that mauled the field.
Fuller has shot a 77 for 66 nett to claim the A Grade Scratch, the daily event and the Guzzler’s Mug, having a fat day out on the links.
Being Fuller’s trophy, he kindly donated it to second and third in the daily event he was so ecstatic at winning the Mug for the month.
Fuller has claimed the daily event from Bernie Parker on a countback, proving you cannot keep a good man down.
Parker is back in a big way being runner-up last month and this month, and cracking funnies like it was 40 years ago in the bar til the sun was setting.
Parker claimed the daily event, followed up by a man who is late to golf, battles away every week and should take this as a milestone on the way to a better handicap.
Bob Watts has brought home a 67 nett shooting four under his handicap under the tougher drier conditions.

SATURDAY saw the playing of the Dempster Cup between two recent life member inductees and no strangers to the nuances of both the course, and also matchplay golf.
Robert Bates and Maurice (Herby) Manwaring played a corker of a game. Already above you have seen that Bates who played in the comp, scored two better than his handicap at a 69 nett.
Manwaring who did not play in the comp, defeated Bates by four holes up and three to play to claim the title.
On the presumption that this may be three shots better than Batesfor a 66 nett (give or take), would mean that Manwaring, at age 84, has shot a round of 83 (better than his age) off 17, to win the game and be declared the best matchplay player in the club for 2018.
No stranger to beating his age off the stick in recent years, and after not winning this trophy in a lifetime of golf at Harden, Manwaring has now claimed the title twice in the last three years.
Like good red wine, he simply matures with age. Well done to both for making the final and congrats on the final result.
