In the first quarter the She Devils lost a player to injury giving Temora a chance to run out wide to score their first try.
At quarter time the She Devils gained a player from Temora side plus as a She Devil late comer, which gave the girls a full team on the field plus a sub.
With some helpful words from coach Kate, president Harry and a member from Temora, the girls fired up and ready to get back into the game.
Kayla stood up to the plate and took on the role of team kicker, she did an amazing job with some of the Temora girls fumbling the ball either allowing the She Devils to make some ground or rewarding them with a penalty due to Temora knocking it on.
Our three points this week went to Shelly who shined through in every aspect of the game including her involvement in helping to get the She Devils their first try of the game.
With Jasmin by her side they were unstoppable pushing through the defence which allowed our Temora player Amy to cross the line and score.
Coady and Krystal put their all into every tackle they made as well as putting their speed to good use when chasing down the opposition whenever Temora girls made a break.
Coady recievied two points and Krystal with one point for the game.
Our players player this week went to Kace. She demonstrated some great skills as she stripped the ball whilst in defence winning the ball back for the She Devils multiple times.
Despite having a head cold it didn’t stop Brianna from giving it her all and making some great chases on Temora’s fastest players.
Rochelle, Margaret and Nat all new players to the team, didn’t let fear hold them back as they all made some tough tackles and were able to hold themselves up, which allowed them to offload giving the She Devils the opportunity to continue their attack.
The Temora girls took out the win for the day but this has by no means dampened the She Devils’ spirit.
The girls are fired up and more then eager to get out on the field next week end against Bathurst Bulldogs on the She Devils home turf.
Make sure you head down and support the She Devils on Saturday at 2.15pm at Roberts Park Oval.
