The cars, included a 1929 D A Dodge, a 1927 Chandler and a 1925 Studebaker Limousine owned currently by Mr George Tait from Mandurama.
The Studibaker is famous as the original car owned by the infamous Kate Leigh, sly grog dealer, brothel owner, drug dealer and Razor gang boss in Sydney's Surry Hills during the late 1920s early 1930s.
Ms Leigh was driven in this car to frequent gangland funerals and court appearances by a member of her ‘Scar faced Gangsters’.
These days, the car has a much more relaxed lifestyle.
“The visit to Bill's sculptor Carl Valerius’ studio workshop in the historic Murrumburrah Flour Mill was a fascinating two hours we shall remember for some time.” Mr Tait said. “His skill and passion will guarantee a statue to honour the role of the Light Horse and their Walers in World War I.”
