The pair enjoyed a very good win at the Wagga RSL Club in the Zone 8 Mixed Pairs final last Saturday.
In their first match they defeated Central Riverina representatives Mark Pearce and Jenny Edwards of the Wagga Rules Club 6 to 5 and 4 to 1.
In their second match, they met Southern Slopes representatives Bill Robertson and Tanya Chaffy from the Temora Club.
Both teams won a set each; Tom 8 to 2; Bill 8 to 5.
An extra end had to be played to get a result and it was Tom on his last bowl drawing the shot to win. A great match in which all players showed their talent.
Minor Pairs Semi Final:
Cary Peters and John Balcomb defeated Matthew Stadtmiller and Warwick Prosser 25 to 18.
A comfortable win for Cary and John on Saturday, who had too much experience for Matthew and Warwick.
Cary and John got away to a huge lead of 18 to 6 early on and looked likely to run away with the match.
Matthew and Warwick made up some ground in the middle stages, but never looked likely to run the leaders down.
Cary and John now play Matt Peisley and John Brownhill in the final on a date to be decided.
Major Pairs
The two matches that were set down to play on Sunday were called off, possibly due to the cold weather.
However, they are expected to be played on Sunday and are as follows:
Terry Ricketts and Tom Apps v Rod James and Kyle Murray.
Tony Fisher and Graham Murray v Matt Peisley and John Brownhill.
Mufti Bowls Sunday afternoon
Terry Ricketts, Tony Zervos, John Brownhill and Warwick Prosser defeated Matt Peisley, Shane McKellar, Isaac Patterson and Dick Walsh 14 to 13.
Club Triples Championship
