Despite the cold time of year, 55 current and former members and invited guests helped celebrate the club’s milestone.
It wouldn’t be a birthday party without having a birthday cake, and thanks must go to Fay Valerius for making the cake.
Attendees also had some games to play and some challenging trivia questions to answer.
The committee thanked the organising committee for its work and Stewart Bruce for providing musical entertainment.
Eleanor Holt was also congratulated for doing such a marvellous job as master of ceremonies for the evening.
She spoke about the history of the Harden Evening VIEW Club and the fact that it was the late Connie McFadyen who was instrumental in setting up the club in Harden.
Forty-year VIEW Club badges were presented to Roslyn Bradford, Bev Stewart and Lesley McGrath, who are all founding members of the Harden club.
Unfortunately, Carmel Brown was unable to attend but would have received her 40-year badge as well.
A 20-year badge was presented to Lorraine Buckland, while Linda Taylor received a 10-year badge.
Congratulations ladies.

The meeting is at the Terracotta Restaurant at Murrumburrah on Thursday, July 12. Harden Evening VIEW Club is always keen to welcome women from all backgrounds and ages as new members.
It’s not just a club for older people.
