The match was expected to be a close one between these two in-form bowlers and it was just that. There was little in the game, with the scores level on several occasions

With the scores level on 28 all, it was anyone’s game, but it was Chris who finished the winner and claimed the title by picking up three shots, making the final score 31 to 28.
Semi Final Major Singles Terry Ricketts defeated Kyle Murray 31 to 22.
Terry won his way to the Final of the major Singles with a good win over Kyle last Sunday and will now play Chris Hocking in the Final on a date to be fixed.
The match saw Terry take an early lead and was never headed. Kyle did get to within a couple of shots of Terry in the middle stages, but was unable to run him down.
Mufti Bowls Sunday morning Landon Vasquez and Chad Davis defeated June Brownhill and Talai Vasquez 16 to 14.
Shane McKellar, Craig Cooper and Matt Brown defeated Rod James, Tony Zervos and Neil Turner 16 to 10.
Warwick Prosser and Isaac Patterson defeated Ged Davis and Kelly Daley 18 to 12.
Sunday afternoon Tom Apps, Tony Zervos and Dick Walsh defeated Brian Madden, Bill Graham and Warwick Prosser 17 to 11.
Kelly Daley and Cary Peters defeated Mel Brownhill and Matt Peisley 24 to 13.
Pennants trial matches On Monday, there was a very good attendance of bowlers for the Pennant trial match between the Number 4 and Number 7 teams. Not all of the Pennant players turned up, but for those who did, it was a good afternoon’s practice.
Number 4 Tom Apps, Matt Peisley, Craig Cooper and John Brownhill defeated Number 7 Alan Tobin, Barney Heywood, Isaac Patterson and Dick Walsh 30 to 7.
Number 4 Rod James, Graham Murray, Tony Fisher and Chris Hocking defeated Number 7 John Curtis, David Walker, Reuben Rycroft and Tony Zervos 20 to 11.
Number 4 Terry Ricketts, Shane McKellar, Craig Phillis and Bill Graham defeated Number 7 John Curtis, David Walker, Reuben Rycroft and Tony Zervos 20 to 11. Aggregate Number 4: 86; Number 7: 27.
