Downtown in Deni, the Beach to Beach Riverside Walk is a must for all visitors.
It follows a path from McLean Beach along the banks of the Edward River to Willoughby’s Beach and is accessible to all abilities.
Take a stroll under the enormous river red gums and let their calming effect wash over you as you stroll.
While walking you can call in at the Peppin Heritage Centre – home to the mosaic ute and long paddock sculpture as well as a Merino wool museum, then take the ramp across the river to the Island Sanctuary – a four-acre island formed naturally by the river and home to kangaroos and hundreds of species of birds.
If pedal power is your preferred mode of transport, bikes are available for hire at McLean Beach Holiday Park, with maps of bike trails available at the Visitor Information Centre on George Street.
After a day of fresh air and nature, get cosy at Cottages on Edwards, boutique accommodation on River Street.
You’ll find old world charm, a wood fire and all the comforts of home.
