Eden has started his campaign, close to home, making music with wife Naomi and three children, Dougal, Una and Ethne.
The multi instrumentalist and seasoned musician now leads the family band, Warm Sporran.
Since moving to Cootamundra from Portland, Eden has made it his mission to flush out the closet musicians of the district with sessions at the Albion Hotel in Coota and the Barnes Store in Harden.
A mechanic by trade, he can also sometimes be found playing the bagpipes in his lunch break in the main street of Harden.
Making music in the family way is not a new concept to Eden, who’s family is firmly rooted in Scottish heritage.
“My dad was a bagpipe teacher and jazz musician, and my mother was a folk singer and guitarist,” he said.
“We want people to come along and join our sessions. If you can play a few chords, come along and play, if you can sing, sing, and if you can clap, just clap!”
The band plays a wide range of traditional Celtic music, often with a contemporary twist.
Warm Sporran is one of 20 acts performing at Coota’s got Talent on Saturday, May 19 at the Ex-Service Club.
The showcase of local musicians is a fundraising night for the Southern Cross Care Auxilliary.
