The Hilltops Choir’s soloist for the afternoon is the talented soprano Julie O’Connor. Born in Young, Julie now lives with her husband Peter on a farm just outside Harden.
She has performed many lead roles in local musicals, and sings regularly with four-part harmony group Counterpoint.
Julie has extensively shared her talent at various community and charity events.
She recently gave a wonderful lunchtime concert at the Young Town Library.
Julie has sung as soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Canberra Concert Orchestra and also played the role of Despina in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte.
The Hilltops Choir of 40-plus voices, conductor Rodney Clancy from Canberra and accompanist Stewart Bruce will perform at 3pm on Sunday, March 18, with the cost just a gold coin donation.
