It is going to be a fun day with heaps of prizes said club president Tim Davis.
“It’s great to join forces with the Harden Devils and have a relaxed day of golf,” Mr Davis said.
“We would love to see as many people to come down and enjoy the course which is looking good since the recent rain.”
Any non golfer is encouraged to come down and join in – they will be given a nominal handicap and the beauty of ambrose golf is that each player takes a shot and you then chose the best ball for your next – if you have a shocker you just take your partner’s shot.
Devils’ president Harry Sachs is looking for a partner and has been heard saying “I wish someone would play with me”.
A barbecue and drinks cart will be operating.
Following the golf the Country Club has organised Doug Walters, the legendary Australian cricketer from Dungog, as guest speaker.
He is sure to keep everyone giggling as he talks about everything from stories of cricketing folklore to the trip to the function.
