Wombat Public School is a well-established small school set in an attractive rural setting offering a balanced curriculum that emphasises the importance of both physical and mental well-being.
Wombat Public School was first established in 1868. This means 2018 is a big year for us as we celebrate 150 years of providing quality education to the community and to generations of families.
We currently have two classes, comprising of students from years K-2 and 3-6 available with two full-time teachers as well as support staff. The students experience a quality classroom environment with low student to teacher ratios.

The school aims to radiate a close family atmosphere with the students belonging to more than just a school, they are part of a whole school community.
Wombat Public School also offers:
- L3 literacy program in the K-2 classroom
- Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program with three-bay cooking facilities and a garden including vegetable beds, an orchard and a chicken pen with a small flock of Plymouth Rocks.
- A music program delivered by a specialist music teacher focusing on marimbas but includes other musical instruments.
