The choir received a grant from Hilltops Council which will go towards facilitating public performances by the group.
Hilltops residents are being invited to the Easter Extravaganza on March 18 at the St John’s Anglican Church in Young.
The choir, which has 40 signers, will be bring to the the Hilltops region excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and other repertoire.
Publicity officer Helen Bruce said soprano soloist Julie O’Connor would perform along with the choir.
“Hilltops Choir is under the baton of artistic music director Rodney Clancy and accompanied by well-known and experienced pianist Stewart Bruce,” she said.
The choir rehearses every Monday in Young at the Uniting Church hall from 7.30pm and prospective members can contact secretary Tracey Clark on 0418 672 622.
The performance starts from 3pm on March 18 with an afternoon tea to follow.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
