The Hornets travelled to Boorowa to play the Crocs last weekend and went into bat first.
It was the team’s second game since Christmas after a forfeit in round 13 by the Aussie Pirates.
Harden set a target of 139 runs with Steele opening for the Hornets and scoring 50 before James Woodhead arrived at the crease to score 40.
The Hornets bowled the Crocs out for 129 giving them a 10-run win.
Steele said the team didn’t think they had enough runs from their innings as they had run out of overs.
Fortunately, Harden’s bowlers were able to restrict Boorowa’s ability to score runs.
Mitch Brown took three wickets while bowling and was on the cusp of a hat-trick.
Paul Potts was terrorised the Boorowa batsmen and took four wickets.
“We fielded well and took some crucial catches, as we say, catches win matches,” Steele said.
The Hornets will play Binalong at Tim Doolan Oval, it will be the last round before the Sweeney Cup finals.
Steele said the win against the Boorowa Crocs last weekend meant they pushed Binalong out of the top four.
The top four teams will have a chance to play B-grade finals. He said whoever wins this weekend will secure the fourth place. Play starts at 12.30pm on Saturday.
