Thunderstorm asthma alert

Director Public Health Unit Tracey Oakman has issued a thunderstorm asthma warning for the remainder of the week in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District area.

Current high pollen counts and the predicted thunderstorms can increase the risk of asthma.  People who are known to suffer from asthma should carry their asthma puffer with them at all times and try to stay indoors with the windows and doors closed during the storm period.  If you have breathing difficulties call 000 or go to your nearest hospital Emergency Department.
