It’s not every day that a birthday as special as turning one hundred comes along. Brenda Roberts, who has lived around Harden for most of her adult life, was lucky enough to celebrate this special occasion not once, but twice last week at the St Lawrence Southern Cross Aged Care facility.

Family and friends travelled from all over NSW to attend the party on Wednesday, and residents, staff and volunteers from Southern Cross threw Brenda another party on Friday.
One of the highlights for Brenda was catching up with her friend Ilma White, who turns 101 on July 10. The girls met when they were 12 and a fairy book that Ilma gave her is still one of Brenda’s prized possessions
