A lot of the kids participating on the day were testing their skills in a competition for the very first time.
The day was made up of a ‘round robin’ competition, with most teams playing at least six games.
The Harden Tennis Club played exceptionally well with our three doubles teams, placing first, second and third.
Taleah Manwaring and Bianca Gledhill took out first place, while second place was Angus Lenehan and Mikelle Rowe
Third place was taken by Charlie Lenehan and Isabelle Shea.
Michelle Kennet from the Harden Tennis Club was very pleased with the day’s event.
“Congratulations to the children on an outstanding result and for the way they represented themselves, their schools and their tennis club.” Mrs Kennett said.
“A big thank you must go to Scott Eulenstein from Spinifex Tennis, who organised the event. Scott’s aim was to encourage children to take up tennis and have fun with a sport that offers life long participation. He definitely achieved that with with all the kids choosing to play social games during their lunch break!”
