The Maestro Singles has been the club’s major event over many years and has been won by some of the South West District’s top bowlers.
Entries have always been good, with clubs throughout the district supporting the event and they did again this year, with 52 entries for both grades and there was some very good bowlers among these entries.
The Maestro competition has been running since early October and unfortunately has been washed out by the rain on three occasions.
So hopefully, the rain will stay away for the Semi Finals on Tuesday night and the Finals on Friday night.
The following matches were played last week to get to the Semi Final of the Major and Final of the Minor grade.

Tuesday night: Breeze Howard (Yass) defeated Brad Lange (C.C.C) 31 to 8; Craig Phillis defeated Shane McKellar 31 to 22; Tom Apps forfeited to Jim Deacon (Coota Ex) due to ill health.
Thursday night: Breeze Howard defeated Terry Ricketts 31 to 22;
Semi Finals Tuesday night, Major Grade: Brian Madden v John Harriott; Breeze Howard v Jim Deacon
Two very good matches played by four outstanding bowlers – very hard to pick a winner. Some great bowls will be witnessed. Both winners play each other in the Grand Final Friday night.
Tuesday night: Minor Semi finals: Craig Phillis v Chris Hocking; Mick Ryan (Coota Ex) v Grant Henderson (Yass) Four evenly matched bowlers and some good bowls will also be witnessed from these matches. Both winners meet in the Final Friday night.
Friday night: Final of Major Grade: Both winners from Tuesday night (M) Alan Tobin; Play off for third and fourth place (M) Brian Gibson.
Final of Minor Grade: Both winners from Tuesday night (M) John Curtis; Play off for third and fourth place (M) Warren Chesworth
Business House Bowls: Spackie’s Septics defeated Fuel Supplies 9 to 5; Team TMG defeated HKC Girls 13 to 1; Fuller’s Taxi defeated Bendigo Bank 11 to 3; Outdoor Store defeated 000’s 9 to 5; Deephole Fishers defeated Better than Sachs 11 to 3; Panthers defeated Hard’n’fit 9 to 5; HKC Boys defeated Heywood Racing 10 to 4. The Business House Competition has now been suspended until February.
