The club conducted a most successful bowls day last Sunday to assist the Flexible Care. There were 30 bowlers in attendance and I believe that in excess of five hundred dollars was raised. Results of matches played are as follows:
Brian Gibson, John Balcomb and Tony Zervos defeated Alan Tobin, Mick Patterson and Ron Hampton with a score of 22 to 6.
Danny Vincent, Joan Clark and Dick Walsh defeated Tommy Hawkins, Vicky James and Derek Heywood with a score of 11 to 6.
Jenny Ricketts, Warwick Prosser and June Howe defeated Craig Cooper, David Walker and Bob Randall 12 to 11.
Shane McKellar, Terry Hocking and Keryl McKellar defeated Jesse James, Maurice Muller and Pat Walker with a score of 18 to 8.
Anne-marie Phillis, Stan Murray and Malcolm Edwards defeated Craig Phillis, Tony Deverson and Oscar Phillis with a score of 14 to 6.
The winning team consisted of Jesse James, Maurice Muller and Pat Walker. Runners up were Jenny Ricketts, Warwick Prosser and June Howe, while third place went to Craig Phillis, Tony Deverson and Oscar Phillis. All prizes were drawn from the hat.
Mufti Bowls Sunday morning
Tony Zervos and Tony Deverson defeated Warwick Prosser and Brayden Jurd with a score of 21 to 13. Warwick and Brayden were the winners of the chooks.
Business House Bowls Results
Deep hole Fishers defeated 000’s 14 to nil; Panthers defeated Fuller’s Taxi 10 to 4; Team TMG defeated Heywood Racing 11 to 3; Sweet’n’ Sour defeated HKC Girls 11 to 3; Better than Sachs drew with Bendigo Bank 7 all.
Bing Walder Shield
Terry Ricketts,and Rod James travelled to Wagga over the wekend to represent the South West District in the Bing Walder Shield Competition.
Harden President’s Day
On Sunday the club will hold it’s President’s Day. There is a list on the noticeboard for anyone who wishes to play.
Maestro Singles Competition
The Maestro Singles matches continued on Tuesday and Thursday nights last week. There was a mix-up with the cards, so I am not sure which night some matches were played. Results were:
