Ian has recorded a round of 30 stableford points, being six shots better than his handicap on the 24 point par layout.
Ian has saluted the judges and they have returned the salute by scything those six shots off his handicap, returning him to the course with a paltry new handicap of seven for this week’s action.
Coming runner-up on both Saturday but also on Friday was Tam Kennedy, making his return to midweek golf, after a recent spell.
Tam has put in a solid 29 point round to claim half a shot back and be in the box seat for next week.
David James collected third with 28 points whilst Ron Kerr and Ian Bruce (in his Wednesday Warm Up) were good for fourth on 27 points.
I have been asked by the organisers to advise that as from week beginning Monday, November 8, the group that usually hits off at 1pm Wednesday and Friday, will hit off at 8am on those days.
THIS WEEK: On Saturday the gents will be playing for the November Medal and Guzzlers Mug, where the scoring by all recent evidence, will be as hot as you have seen. Ladies will be playing a Sunday stableford numbers permitting.
