Temora Aviation Museum’s Da Vinci Machines exhibition shows off 60 machines and drawings from the legendary renaissance master.
Museum manager Peter Harper said it was a rare opportunity for people in the region to explore a mind that was well ahead of its time.
“Visitors have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences with the interactive machines which include the ‘air screw’, Da Vinci’s take on a helicopter,” Mr Harper said.
“We are thrilled to bring this rare collection to the Riverina in one of its last stops in the country before it heads back to Italy.”
A range of renaissance contraptions including automatons (the precursors to robots), nautical and hydraulic machines and a hang glider will be on show until October 29.
