The young ladies were asked a series of questions regarding the local area, what they hoped to achieve in their ‘sash year’, why they wanted to be ‘Miss Showgirl’ and each were given an imaginary one million dollars to spend on Harden Murrumburrah and asked how they would spend it to improve the town.
They had to answer these questions in front of not only the three judges from Young, but a room full of family members and friends.
Stuart Freudenstein, one of the judges, was very impressed by the way both girls presented themselves on the night.
“This is going to be a very hard decision for the judges.” Mr Freudenstein said. Both girls spoke very well and they both deserve to win.”
Jess Sargent was announced as winner of the 2017 ‘Miss Showgirl’ event on Saturday at the Murrumburrah Harden Spring Show. Jess will now go on to the next level of judging.
Congratulations to both young ladies who are excellent examples of the young women in our town.
