CONCURRENT to the Men’s Singles Championships, the ladies conducted their Foursomes Championships over two rounds as well. Sponsors: Pat Walker, round one and Harden Pharmacy, round two.
On Saturday, round one was picked up by Ev Shea and Maryanne Fitzgerald who shot a score eight better than their long term rivals Toni Filmer and Jeanette Elliott to claim the day’s prize.
On Sunday, the roles reversed with Toni and Jeanette picking up the second day.
Toni and Jeanette could not pull all of the day one lost shots to Ev and Maryanne back, with Ev and Maryanne picking up the overall result and Championship stroke score by a clear six shots.
