THIS weekend the gents will resume the battle on Saturday with round three of the championships.
Starters will be available from 11am so if an early and un-rushed round is yours for the seeking, come along a fraction earlier if you can.
Round four will have it all wrapped up for 2017 on Sunday.
Even if you are not in the championships, each day is its own event as a stroke/stableford and you are more than welcome to join us.
The Ladies will be playing a stroke event on Saturday from lunch time.
A claim the date note for the men, our Club Foursomes Championships will be held a fortnight after this weekend’s championships draw to a close.
Time to get your partners squared away for this wonderful event.
CONCURRENT to the Men’s Singles Championships, the ladies conducted their Foursomes Championships over two rounds as well. Sponsors: Pat Walker, round one and Harden Pharmacy, round two.
On Saturday, round one was picked up by Ev Shea and Maryanne Fitzgerald who shot a score eight better than their long term rivals Toni Filmer and Jeanette Elliott to claim the day’s prize.
On Sunday, the roles reversed with Toni and Jeanette picking up the second day.
Toni and Jeanette could not pull all of the day one lost shots to Ev and Maryanne back, with Ev and Maryanne picking up the overall result and Championship stroke score by a clear six shots.
Ev also picked up nearest the pin on the Bendigo Bank Hole in One Hole.
