OUR girls took on the Tigers at Boorowa on Saturday and showed what they’re capable of, scoring five tries and defending their line from the Tigers’ quality attack.
Grace Shea pounced on a lose ball early to score and Emma Craig proved too fast late in the game. Hope to see all at Harden for pink day and the disco after the game.
Harden/Boorowa Paul Shea electrical Under 11Tag
HARDEN/Borrowa made a decisive move in their chase for a premiership by defeating the well drilled Gundagai Tigers on the weekend.
The Bushhawks put together their best performance of he season by concentrating on both defending and attacking as a team, with only a slight lapse in concentration prior to half-time.
All the regulars performed well with three tries to Heidi O'Connor, two tries and a conversion to Georgia Squire-Wilson and one try and conversion to Hayley Hambrook.
Amelia Rowan was also successful in a conversion. Final score was 30-14 for a Bushhawks win. Well done girls.
Harden/Boorowa Under 7
HARDEN/Boorowa Under 7 went down to Gundagai in a close match played with plenty of spirit.
With the score all locked up at 16 all with ten to go the boys had every chance of winning.
Well it was about this time the Fogg rolled back in the sun disappeared and those Gundagai lads found another gear coming home the stronger.
Try scorers were Ethan Abnett, Deklan Friend, Bailey McKinnon, Justin Woodhead and Billy Fogg.
The best players on the day were Bailey McKinnon and Angus Whybrow, while Harry McMahon, Hamish Kennedy and Tarell Karaitiana Halls also put in good displays.
