“I am officially still stationed at Cootamundra LAC,” Snr Constable McGrath said. “But my family and I are living here in Harden, which puts me in the town a lot more.”
Originally from Tumut, Snr Constable McGrath didn’t always want to be a police officer.
“I did a lot of other jobs before joining the Force,” Snr Constable McGrath said. “I worked in the mills in Tumut for about 10 years, then moved to Gundagai, but I was at a time in my career that I wanted a change, so I applied and to cut a long story short, here I am.”
Snr Constable McGrath said he and his family are enjoying living in Harden.
“Yeah, I like it here, Harden is a quiet town and the crime rate is low compared to other places,” Snr Constable McGrath said. “My wife is from Harden, so it is coming home for her.”
