Pairs Championship The result of the Semi Finals of the Pairs Championship was as follows: Craig Phillis and Chris Hocking defeated John Peterson and Doug Hawkins with a score of 23 to 11. It was an easy one for Craig and Chris. They took off over the first ten ends to lead 16 to 3 and even though it was only half way through the match, it was going to take a supreme effort from John and Doug to run Craig and Chris down from so far behind. Although John and Doug did play some nice bowls over the remaining eleven ends, they never looked likely to win. Craig Phillis and Chris Hocking will now play Rod James and David Bodell in the Final on this Sunday, July 9.
Mufti Bowls Shane McKellar and Craig Cooper defeated Rod James and Tony Zervos with a score of 14 to 3.
Terry Ricketts, Tony Zervos and Brian Gibson defeated Shane McKellar, Barry Heywood and Warwick Prosser with a score of 16 to 8.
Triples Championship
Bowlers are advised that Single Entries for the Triples Championship are now being taken. A list is on the noticeboard and entries will close on Saturday, July 8. The draw will then be made and matches will be listed for the following weekend.
Local Punters win big
Well done to a couple of our punters who knocked off the Pick Six in Sydney last weekend. They payout was $199,000. Our boys did not get it all, but they did get a nice percentage.
