Mr Dunn, who was born in Harden, dedicated his life to helping others and the Harden community knew they could always rely on him when something needed to be done.
With decades of helping others under his belt, Brian was recognised with an Order of Australia Medal as part of the Queen’s Birthday honours list in 2015.
Brian and Judy Dunn’s assistance in the community started when they saw some elderly residents not able to mow their lawn. Getting to know these people, soon Mr and Mrs Dunn were inviting them for dinner, staving off loneliness for those who lived alone. Mr Dunn did the work he did for the love of his community.
“If I had my time over I would do nothing different,” Mr Dunn once said. “I would marry the same girl and do the same volunteer work.”
Rest in Peace Brian. Our thoughts and prayers are with Judy and the Dunn family at this time.
