The ‘Over the Rainbow colour fun run’ raised over $3,500 toward sending Adam Barnes to Russia for specialised treatment for his Multiple Sclerosis.The family needs to raise $100,000 for this treatment and are planning more fundraisers, including a raffle with a $10,000 prize over the next 6 months and a sausage sizzle to be held in May.

Gaelene Barnes, Adams mother, said the day was a huge success and that the family are hoping to make it an annual event.
“We can’t thank everyone enough, “especially those volunteers who just turned up on the day to man the BBQ, the paint throwers and the entrants.” Mrs Barnes said “And of course, our wonderful MC on the day, Paul Frilay.”
What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, than keeping fit and raising money for an excellent cause.
