The Retro
Harden now has a reliable and tasty fast food joint thanks to Nelli and Gus Metcalfe. The couple leased The Retro six weeks ago after realising that Harden had a need for the service.
Previously they owned the Wallendbeen Snack Shack for five years. The response from the community has been strong with many locals supporting the new business. The Retro is open from 9am to 9pm seven days a week providing fresh food and friendly service.
They offer signature dishes including the B-Double burger and hot chilli woman as well as hot doughnuts, gluten free and vegetarian meals and freshly battered fish and chips.
Collins Real Estate
A dedication to his hometown and passion for the area has seen Scott Collins build his own business in Harden.
Collins Town and Country Real Estate has been running for the past 11 years employing two part-time staff, Ros Bradford and Fiona Collins.
Mr Collins is Harden’s only local agent but real estate isn’t his only interest, he also finds time to run a small farm and help raise his three children James, Emma and Sara, along with wife Fiona.
The best part of the job for Mr Collins is seeing happy customers after a sale.
“It gives me a real sense of satisfaction,” he said.
