Ladies Pennants against Boorowa Ex Services/Grenfell in Harden: Jenny Ricketts, Donna Chesworth, Chris Hancock and Pat Walker defeated Rosemary Walter, Lorraine Bales, Bev Scott and Judy Wood with a score of 27 to 11. Ann Larsen, Joan Clark, Dianne Debritt and Lisa Nicholls defeated Yvonne Murphy, Pat Reid, Sue Gault and Joy Murray with a score of 15 to 3. Aggregate: Harden 42, Boorowa Ex Services/Grenfell 34; Points: Harden 4, Boorowa Ex Services/Grenfell 1. With only 1 match to play for Harden against The Cootamundra Country Club, they trail the competition leaders Boorowa Ex Services/Grenfell by 1 point. A win against Coota CC will give Harden the Pennant for 2017. This match will be played on April 1.
Jenny Ricketts, Dianne Debritt and Lisa Nicholls, along with Margaret Gailey of Young, represented Region 10 against Region 11 in the Townley Shield at Gundagai last week. The team played very well to win both their matches, but unfortunately Region 10 lost by 1 shot to Region 11 overall. Robyn Apps was also selected to play, but had to withdraw due to recent surgery.
No. 4 Pennant Team versus Young at Young: Tom Apps, Craig Phillis, Kyle Murray and Reuben Rycroft were defeated by Mark Anderson, Joe Bargewanna, Col Chapman and Stuart Taylor with a score of 20 to 23. Terry Ricketts, Chris hocking, Doug Hawkins and Tony Zervos defeated Peter Slater, Bill Clark, Terry Mulligan and James Freudenstein with a score of 25 to 13. Rod James, Tony Fisher, John Peterson and Shane McKellar defeated Dennis Rosen, Colin Powell, Colin Parker and Steve Walsh with a score of 20 to 14. Aggregate: Harden 65, Young 50. Points: Harden 9, Young 1.
