INPUT WANTED: It is envisaged that the Light Horse Memorial will eventually house a new bronzed statue of Bill the Bastard currently being created by Carl Valerius.

Expressions of interest are being called for members of the community to seek input on the plan of management for the Light Horse Memorial through a Council Community Reference Group (CRG).

The CRG will be responsible for providing input into the design from a community perspective as well as assisting council with promoting the site and the sculpture for the closed portion of Bathurst Street, Murrumburrah.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Harden Murrumburrah,” general manager Anthony McMahon said.

“The potential economic benefit for this project should not be under estimated.”

The sympathetic development of the Light Horse Memorial housing the new Bill the Bastard statue, currently being created by local sculptor Carl Valerius, will well and truly put Harden Murrumburrah on the tourism map”.

Anyone seeking Information on the Community Reference Group and expression of interest forms can be found on the Council website or can be collected from your local Council office.
