It was mixed luck for our Pennant bowlers over the weekend, with the Number 4s having a good win over the strong Cootamundra Ex Services side and our Ladies side defeating Young to keep their Pennant chances alive. Unfortunately, our Number 7s went down to Bribbaree.

Number 4s versus Coota Ex Services at Harden Terry Ricketts, John Curtis, Chris Hocking and Doug Hawkins lost to John Herriot, Rob Anderson, Terry McDonald and Paul Cockran with a score of 21 to 28; Tom Apps, Craig Phillis, Kyle Murray and Reuben Rycroft defeated Bob New, John Coggin, Jim White and Graham Dennis with a score of 25 to 21; Rod James, David Bodell, John Peterson and Shane McKellar defeated Jim Deacon, Roman Dondaruk , Greg Fisher and Geoff Hillier with a score of 23 to 16.

Number 7s versus Bribbaree at Bribbaree Warren Chesworth, Brian Gibson, Derek Heywood and Mick Patterson defeated T.Howell, A.Hutchinson, M.Brankovic and P.Hewson with a score of 32 to 20; Barney Heywood, Tony Zervos, John Balcomb and John Baker were defeated by S.Thomas, E.Murphy, D.Gibson and C.Petherbridge with a score of 20 to 22; Alan Tobin, Danny Vincent, Dick Walsh and Carey Peters were defeated by B.McNair, R.Murray, S.Murphy and G.Smith with a score of 19 to 26.

South West District Reserve Pairs The final of the South West District Reserve pairs was played on Saturday morning at our club. Wally Chater and Greg Field (Coota Ex Services) defeated Arthur Ward and Charlie Willis (C.C.C) with a score of 23 to 13.
Our bowlers Craig Phillis and Chris Hocking were forced to forfeit after winning their first match, because they did not double up Saturday afternoon, as they were not aware they had to, due to not receiving an email. Bad luck boys!
Mufti Bowls Laurie Monaghan and Warwick Prosser defeated Craig Cooper and Tom Hawkins with a score of 27 to 16. Craig and Tom won the chooks.
