For two years, Royal Far West (RFW) has been helping Ms Gannon and her nine-year-old daughter Lei Lei.
“Even though Wagga is a very big place medical care can be overwhelming when you need to go to see several different health professionals,” Ms Gannon said.
“At RFW everything is dealt with in one place, it might be one big week but at the end everything is signed, sealed and delivered. They tick all the boxes, they're all amazing health professionals and they look at the child and family together.”
This Sunday, a group of cyclists will ride to Orange to raise money for the charity that helps country kids to “see the sea”.
“They're right on the beach at Manly so the kids really look forward to going there,” Ms Gannon said.
“They make the experience as family-friendly and harmonious as possible and when you ask the kids about it, they don’t talk about the doctors, just the beach.
“I saw a lot of children there with some pretty intense things going on, but the kids had a good time and they've made friendships with my children that will last a lifetime.”
