Mixed pairs championship: David Bodell and Kelly Daley defeated David Walker and Pat Walker with a score of 28 to 15. After eight ends, there was only a three-shot difference in the score with David and Kelly leading 10 to 7. However, from that point on, it was all David and Kelly as they raced away to a big lead and went on to an easy win. David and Pat tried hard, but were never likely to run the winners down.
Warren Chesworth and Donna Chesworth defeated Terry Ricketts and Jenny Ricketts with a score of 17 to 16. Warren and Donna caused a minor upset when they played excellent bowls to down Terry and Jenny, who went into the match as favourites. Then in the second last end, Terry scored one shot to lead 16 to 15. With one end to play, Warren and Donna were not to be denied, when they picked up two shots to sneak home by one.
