The Young Visitor Centre was overrun with hundreds of visitors from all over to experience one of NSW longest-running harvest festivals.
Council would like to thank the National Cherry Festival Committee, a section 355 Committee of council, for all of their hard work and dedication in pulling off a wonderfully successful event with thousands of event goers enjoying the best that the Hilltops region has to offer. If you haven’t picked up a few boxes of cherries from the local growers, you’ll want to get in fast.
The Hilltops Council Community Initiatives Grants, which was an initiative of the former Harden Shire and open to their residents, closed last week and assessments are now underway by the Harden Local Representative Committee.
With $31,172 available to be distributed, council received 14 applications that all seek to enhance the broader Harden Community.
Boorowa’s Carols by Candlelight is set to take place on Sunday, December 11 at 7pm in the Boorowa Recreation Rotunda (if the weather is inclement, the location will move to the Boorowa Central School Hall). Bring your chair or blanket and join us for an evening of special performances and community singing. A Lions’ barbecue will be available by donation.
Finally, with the Christmas season upon us, I encourage all of you to support your local businesses and shop within the Hilltops region. There are so many unique boutiques, beautiful local products, and amazing eateries and food growers that will make your Christmas special and support the growth of the Hilltops region.
