On Thursday, 22 September the Year 12 Farewell Assembly will take place in the School Hall. We look forward to the opportunity to say farewell to the Year 12 students and hand out their portfolios on their final official occasion here, at MHS. Members of the school community are more than welcome to join us at the assembly to farewell Year 12.
CHS Athletics Carnival
Well done to Maddison Douglass, Emma James, Will Manwaring, Harrison Forsyth, Brady L’Estrange, Chris O’Connor, Lucy Chesworth, Georgia Murray and Tara McGrath-West who will represent the School and the Riverina in Sydney at the CHS State Athletics Carnival early next month. These students will compete against the best from across the state. I’m sure you all join me in wishing them the best of luck.
Every Day Counts
We all want the students of MHS to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day.
MHS has taken a huge stride into the 21st Century and has upgraded student attendance tracking and monitoring using the latest in digital technologies. Student rolls are now marked electronically every period and during the day student arrivals and departures are tracked through a digital Attendance Kiosk located at the front office. Shortly the school will roll out SMS messaging to seek an explanation from parents/carers for a student’s absence and also to notify of a student’s late arrival to school. Parents/carers need only respond to this SMS in order to provide a reason and justify their son/daughter’s absence.
